Passport finally arrived today so I went ahead and booked the flight to spain. I leave on the 13th of December for 2 nights and come back on the 15th. I plan to spend the entire day on the 14th in the Carazo region taking pictures of the Cemetary remains and surrounding areas where the film was shot.
Although the Cemetary will look rather different from the film now I am hoping to be able to get some good quality reference for the surrounding hills/trees etc in which to stage the Cemetary. Additionally I should still be able to aquire a solid amount of texture references. Lastly I hope it gives me a sense of what it is like to be there which I can feed back into my work.
